NOTE: We have been receiving a disproportionate amount of GLOWING praise for WizzAir for a while now, some of it bordering on evangelism. We are either witnessing the birth of a new religion OR WizzTeam has been up to some serious mischief. Now, it is possible that this recent Crusade is genuine, however we think most Wizz-happy customers would go not go thru the effort of finding our little hate site or still further bothering to write 300 lines of bombastic praise on their days off.

Booked some flights with Wizz Air this morning and paid by bank transfer. How long will it take for the flight to become confirmed? And will I receive another email?
Also, one of my friends has a double barrelled surname, but I just put a space between the two names, not a hyphen. Will I need to call and get this corrected?

Noticed they have teamed up with Citi group and offering a new credit card for Poles.Anyone who knows about Citigroup will agree that this partnership is one made in heaven.The Office of Fair Trading in the UK recently ordered firms to drop their debit and credit card fees for online transactions-no sign of Wizz doing that.
There is a planned European directive which means they will be forced to comply sooner or later and cant hide in Hungary.
It is no coincedence that after the OFT made their announcement,Wizzair increased their baggage charges within 24 hours.
I never understand some people, i have flown many times with wizzair (luton-warsaw) and have never had any problems with either booking,service at airports, or during the flight. Ok they are not perfect, no airline is, i will continue to use them, if people dont like what they are getting i suggest they try another company, i think they will find very little difference.
You may well see the difference if you have to try another airline.
Ok the prices are attractive but when things go wrong boy do they go wrong.Try contacting them via their website-it is easier contacting the Queen.
And why did they close their London offices ?
Wizz suddenly cancelles flight Stockholm-Kiev. Is it due to oligarch-problems in Kiev/Zhuluhany? Troubles with petrol, deiceing etc are rumoured. Any info?
I noticed this today but not on their website-I cant find any mention of it.There are 22 other airlines offering flights to Stockholme from Kiev.
All very mysterious the same as previous so called temporary suspensions.
Prague - Luton.My bag didn’t fit the holder despite the fact it is carry-on bag and has never failed any other companies test. I suspect there box is smaller than it should. The attendands care only about the money and were rude.
I will never try again with them and I encourage others not to as well.

you have to enter /repeat the mobile number in the next field as well. I had the same issue. The stupid javascript error doesn’t say that you have to repeat the mobile phone number so that causes the error. They should hire me and I would fix it for $10
Until now, I have not succeeded to book on Wizz website. Their website is stupid and weird. I can not book a flight in Oct from Praha to Brussels, because there are only flights until Sep. On the website of both airports, you can find the timetables of this flight in Oct. But, for the flight from other cities to Brussels, you can book the flight even in next Jan.

It seems like they have discontinued the route (Praha-Charleroi), but I cannot find any information about that anywhere. On the contrary, the latest news from Wizzair were the ones saying that they added more flights between Prague and Brussels-Charleroi. Hmm. No idea when the discontinued route will be officially announced, but anyway, I recommend you Student Agency or Euroiines overnight buses instead. The early-morning flights are horrible.

no way to enter passengers information and print out the online ticket!!! and my passenger has to fly tomorrow morning. This is utterly annoying!
I have flown with Wizzair 23 times since March 2005 and I would consider that “you get what you pay for”. I am also lucky because the only flights I have taken have been to and from Luton/Katowice and this route seems to not suffer the cancellations that other routes do.
My advice is as follows:
1. Never use the “wizzair partners” to get you to and from the airport. The only time I used them, the minibus driver was late, drove very badly, and got us to the airport after check-in closed. Thankfully the girl at Katowice check-in still booked us in. I e-mailed a complaint to Wizzair customer service on 09/05/2005 and to-date still have no reply!
2. The cabin crew have always been fantastic, although I would advise taking your own sandwiches/drinks because the on-board stuff is good but very expensive.
3. Pilots - Listen to the name when you get on-board. If he is Polish or English, then the flight will be great. Wizzair appear to employ a multi-national group of pilots and, in my experience/opinion, only the Polish and English pilots seem to know how to land smoothly and in bad weather!
4. Website - This is a hit and miss affair. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. I do not like having to pay by debit card (because of high charges with credit cards) because if the company go bust, I don’t have the same protection with debit cards. Also, wizzair make enough money out of me, they can afford the CC charges I’m sure!
5. Call centre - It says they speak English or Polish, but I phoned on one occasion to ask about their chicken-pox policy (other airlines have one on their website but not wizzair) and had to spend 10 minutes trying to explain what chicken-pox was, and I tried both the english and polish words! On other occasions, they haven’t been too bad.
6. Boarding - Rather like being on the titanic getting to the lifeboats! I have to hold my child in the air and shout, “I have a child, I have a child” and fight my way through when they call forward passengers with children. I have never paid for priority boarding, but in Luton and Katowice, it doesn’t seem to matter as they call forward people with kids anyway! The bus to the plane can be comedy gold. The last time we flew, it seemed to drive about 5 metres and then offload us onto the plane. We could have walked from terminal to plane in 30 seconds, but loading and offloading the bus took 15!
7. Luggage - no one seems to check the size of your hand luggage, so they we are with our perfectly sized hand luggage and you get on the plane with someone who has a suitcase for hand luggage because it only weighed 6 kilos! I would advise paying for hold luggage as you can have 32 kilos which is great.
In summary - In my opinion and with my experience, Wizzair has much to learn in the world of customer service on the ground. In the air, their team are good, and I suppose getting from A to B in the air safely is quite important! I can only express my opinions on the one route that I have used, and I am thankful that it doesn’t suffer as much.
If you try Wizzair once and hate it, then don’t fly with them again. The best feedback that Wizzair would have to listen to would be no customers. I will fly with them again, but I am fully aware of the risks I am taking. The moment I suffer a cancellation causing me to spend hundreds of pounds to get to my destination and not getting a refund or any of the EU laws applied to my case, then I will not use them again, simple!
I could go on forever but webspace is expensive for the site owners!!
Wizz Air sucks? No man… it’s great! I flown yesterday with them, the cabin crew was so nice and kind, and everything. They even let me take a picture with the captain, after the plane landed. The only thing bad was that it was late, but I completely understand it as it was raining as hell.

hi, I’ve got a problem. i booked a ticked on-line, and then checked in online again immediately, but when i glanced at my family name, i’ve noticed that i’ve made a mistake. my ID says Papazov, and on the ticket says Papazovv (one extra V) Wizz air custumer support sayed that only at the airport I will find out if this is a problem, might be, might be not????

I am trying to book a WizzAir flight online and I keep getting this Session Expired error. The online booking system is seriously disfunctional. It is virtually impossible to complete a booking due to these continuous errors and meanwhile they’ve already hiked the prices up by 20EUR. Poor service.

Our flight from Luton to Burgas has been diverted to Sofia because of a technical problem. Damage to the roof of the aircraft. We have been sitting here on the tarmac for now over 2 hours. People are becoming very restless and they have been nice enough to bring out the drink cart again to SELL drinks. This is madness. Help!

London Luton UK to Poznan Lawica PL. My flight was cancel, next flight was scheduled 24h later, I had to chose flight to different destination point!!! got stuck for 12 hours, no help no food offered, finally I get home 17 hours later then planned. I ask wizzair for cover my expenses and guess what! Fu**ing polish representative are so lazy that they dont even check my complain, my friend was given a refund for the same flight, and I asked WHAT ABOUT ME? there is no answer! That service is a fu**ing joke. I live in the States and I came to Europe for two years. In America situation like this is unacceptable.

I fly with Wizz every couple of months, only had one flight cancelled and went to a different destination airport for the same price instead of waiting 24 hours. all flights at Cluj were cancelled because of bad weather so hardly Wizz’s fault.
Was pissed off at the time because no info was given until we had been waiting in the check in queue for 40 minutes. apart from that, never any problems.
All airlines have shitty service at times. If you think they don’t then you’re stupid.
Personally, I don’t have that much against wizzair, I think the service is adequate for the price. Even though the wind me up from time to time, i still rather book with them rather than a more expensive airline.
Just wanted to make a quick not of their latest ‘failure’:
With the new ‘exclusive club’ membership - you CANNOT combine this with a ‘plus account’ membership. Obviously it does not say this on the website, so you have to call the paid number for them to tell you this. Both the fact that you can’t combine to offers that are clearly designed to be combined AND the fact that they don’t tell you you can’t do this are appalling examples of service.
I fly with wizzair almost once a week from Luton to Warsaw and you get exactly what you pay for, a low cost airlines. So stop complaining about small delays, every airline has that problem.
hi michael can you pls help me I m flying from luton airport in 3weeks time with my huspand with no eu passport with schengen visa, we check in online, where we have to go when come in terminal? still on check in desk? and how about baggage is it 32kg allowance? we arrive on airport at 14.20 and fly is at 15.30 will we be able to catch it?
I have just flown back from Gdansk (Poland) with my Australian friend - we checked-in online, had all the email confirmations that the correct information was provided, went through passport control twice with both the passport and boarding card only to be told just before getting onto the plane that my Australian friend could not board because she did not get a ’special’ stamp on her boarding card, despite the fact she had an official customs stamp in her passport !
This meant she missed the flight (despite being in airport 2hrs early) and had to pay for another flight the following day - the whole system was ridiculous and completely unclear, do you have any advice on what I should include in the complaint (highly unlikely but I’m going to request a refund for at least one of the flights) ??
Hi, Where was it you were flying to from Gdansk? I actually work for a company that runs the airport handling for Wizz at Luton Airport and normally how we work is we get a supervisor at check in (’cos non EU passports/docs are actually instructed, on the online check in boarding card, to go to the check in area for a document check) to simply sign on the BC that they’re OK to travel. If this was the reason for not being allowed to travel then well, there is no reason cos we just contact someone from the gate to check if visas are needed or OK to travel. Don’t know if this helps the complaint but thats how it works at Luton with WizzAir.

I was on a flight recently where this big fat man let a rasper out as he ate a bag of crisps. the smell was so bad that some passengers fainted. for my part i think it is disgusting that wizz air allow big fat men on to the plane who clearly have intestinal wind issues. what do you all think?
Ive flown with Wizz air about 10 times now, and only once were they on time. Once they cancelled my flight completely. Its always down to technical failure of the air crafts, and boy can you believe it! If you dont have a fear of flying, flying on one of their aircrafts will sure change that!
If you fly with them expect at least an hour delay at best. Easy jet offer cheaper flights, and are far more reliable

Hi, this reeeeeally shouldnt be an issue! I actually check in and board WizzAir flights and people do this a lot. Common sense should surely prevail but ultimately it does actually come down to the person boarding your flight/checking you in. Me… I’d just not bother with the 80euros and if a check in agent does say anything just be like… you can tell thats me by my passport, its common sense that ben is 9/10 short for benjamin so whats the issue?! lol

I flew 4 times with Wizzair, and I were very satisfied of it. The flights were punctual. Perhaps, I never experienced a flight cancellation, or any other problem. I mostly flew from Warsaw, and they’re one of the cheapest air lines you could find from there. Much cheaper than the national company Lot. They have one of the youngest fleet in Europe. Their aircraft are all modern Airbuses A320-200. The only deception I had is that you have to be before very early in the morning (5 am). When I went to London with them, I returned with British Airways, and the service was disgusting ! The staff was very rude and not nice, the plane being late for more than two hours ! I will never fly again with BA.

I have found an issue with Wizz Air’s Website. They are basically charging double for the fees. EG. check in 1 baggage = 5500ft. Wizz air totals it at 11000 FT.
Please be careful when booking… as this can easy go un-noticed…

Hi everyone!Also we are victims of Wizzair cause of cancelled flights from/to Istanbul.We sent a lot of e-mails to Wizzair and Bravo Fly which are don’t care .At last we had an e-mail confirmation from BravoFly that the refund will be seen on our next credit card statement.It’s not serious information excluding payment date or other details.I’ll try to send mail (by post)to Wizzair’s Board of directors about our refund.At least a person should have been good minded in there!What can we do ?Is there any idea?Wizzair is not a member of IATA so we can not complaint to them.
I just went on and bought ticket from Malev.The tickets will get more expensive each day passing, so its probably better to buy it right away instead of waiting the refund.I don’t know if Bravofly can offer you alternatives before recieving the refund.

I’m in the same situation. I’ve been exchanging emails with both Bravofly and Wizzair and they are shifting responsibility from one to the other. In any case Wizzair is clearly breaching the Regulation (EC) 261/2004 regarding right, according to which we are entitled to a full refund and a compensation. there is a form which needs to be filled and submitted to the Hungarian National Aviation Authority and they will force Wizzair to comply. I will urge you all to do that. if you need instructions, please contact me.

im writing here because i would like to know if you have any experiences with dimensions of carry-on baggage. Wizzair website says 55X40X20 cm. My problem is that i dont meet 1 criteria by 3cm. Do you think that this is a problem? Im prety much sure that i can press on the bag a bit and it would loose like 2cm but still its prety close.
Thats why i would like to know if you kno of wizzair has its own holders with those dimensions or if i can just push it trough this holder with big amount of power

Does anyone know or the Katowice-Eindhoven route will not be operating anymore from after October 2011? I can’t find this information anywhere, the airports don’t know it.

Happily stuck with Wizzair again… as usual no information at all while people are waiting at the gate, at boarding time. Apparently we were the first to check online whether the incoming flight left Warsaw already…it didn’t. So we decided to go for a drink (perfectly knowing that the next standard scenario will be: 5-6 more delay announcements, before a cancellation).
Asking some of the airport staff whether there is an information desk the reply is: Only on the other side of the security control…WTF? We immediately ask where to get our vouchers for a drink, as a passenger you do have the right for this when there’s 2 hrs delay, but the answer from the staf fis “we’re not allowed until we have confirmation on the actual delay time”. Hmmm… flight time between Warsaw and Brussels Charleroi is approximately 2 hrs… so let’s wait for a few minutes.
Once sitting down comes the first announcement, “we’re sorry to inform you due to meteorogical conditions, the flight to Warsaw will depart at 22.20hrs (instead of 20.40hrs)”… Damn…this is only 1 hr and 40 minutes delay…no voucher. Oh wait a sec…it’s already 9PM, and the plane is according to the Frederyk Chopin airport site still in Warsaw…then why do we get a new estimated time that won’t be possible to make? Is it because vouchers are too expensive?
Well, 10 past 9 another announcement comes in “due to OPERATIONAL problems, the flight has been delayed till 22.20hrs”,…here we go…the reason for delay just changed…did the crew get wet because of the rain and needs replacing now??? This is exactly the same as a few months ago, waiting for my girlfriend to come over from Warsaw, several announcements before a cancellation after 4 hrs of delay…no compensation for any of the passengers (as the flight departure time was kept hidden all the time)…and no compensation for any of the people picking up any of the passengers. Plus…the only alternative flight was to a different airport the next day.. landing.in a different country!!!
A few days later, a flight attendant from Wizzair at that time happened to tell us they were actually trying to find a crew to fly the plane that evening but due to some crews having flown for over 20hrs in a row…they couldn’t find any,.we’ve heard Wizzair is continuously forcing crews to work overtime, they’re paid like crap, and probably today as well will get to deal with all the customer complaints with the authority to say nothing..
Let’s see where we end up…they just announced another 5 minutes delay…so i guess they got us a supersonic jet to be able to fly from Warsaw to Charleroi, unload, load and take off in less than an hour
Regarding entering mobile phone details.. just take off the first zero of your mobile number and it works ! good luck everyone
what first 0?!!! my country code is +47 (so its says in the rollbar) and my mobilenumber starts with 9… best regard from frusterated
Someone please help! I try to book a ticked on Wizz air wbsite and I am stuck on the Contact page with the message showing: Please Verify that you entered correct mobile number! How can I do it?

When you get to contact info page when booking a flight on “mobile phone country code” check box, selct the 1st option “selectmobil phone country code” and then take out your mobile phone number (assuming you dont want the mobilephone service)….

This is happening to me, it’s so frustrating. I’ve tried every form of phone number imaginable, taking out the country code and 0, trying mobile phones and landlines of several different countries that me or my friends have mobiles in and NONE are working.
